Jeez you got 5 years out of a set of tyres?
What’s your average yearly mileage?
I don't drive a whole lot compared to the average person - average about 12000km a year by current mileage and age. So if I consider seasonal swaps into the equation and the fact that I likely drive more in the summer then they got about anywhere between 30-40k on them since I swapped the Continentals out after the 1st year.

I put winter tyres on my wife's car too. It makes the summer tyres last twice as long.

I like the PS4 and think they're very good but I agree that I think the Goodyear is a better all-rounder. In the dry there is not much in it with the PS4 maybe feeling a bit sharper with more feedback but the AS5/6 feels right more of the time.

Could happily use either though. Both good tyres.
Yeah 100%, not much in it. Like you say in the dry the ps4 is probably the better tyre, but in the wet i 100% prefer the AS6. The PS4 were quite quick to aquaplane in heavy standing water. I think the PS4 is more of an outright summer tyre, whereas here in the south west where it doesn't really snow, the AS6 were better in the cold temps and more of a year round option

Ok that sounds far more achievable.

I consider both the F1A3 and F1A5 are too donut-shaped due to their softer sidewalls, making the looks of them much less attractive than the sexy-looking Michelin PS4 and PS5. That's the reason why I replaced my F1A3 with PS4 (and later PS5) for my previous Audi 8K.

Now my KL comes with T005 factory fitted, extremely noisy on the motorways and less confidence in the wet in twisty B roads (luckily no rain in London for such a long time recently). Had to reconsider F1A6 or CPC6 in coming months (PS5 a bit too pricey)

Any news on the F1A7 / PS6? Will they come in 2027?
