well RASH has loads of tourqe and he can rev past 4k

My car revs to 6k and is producing 300+bhp from 3500-5500 rpm.

At the end of the day different types of engines suit different types of drivers the same as different types of cars suit different people. Diesel isn`t better then petrol and petrol isn`t better then diesel they are different like apples and oranges.

Mike that was soooo diplomatically put:clap: But heh whats happening are you mellowing with age:whistle:

^^^^^^^^^^ yup I fully agree and BTW that is a nice graph

this was my pointVVVVVVVVVV

I was referring to the (just got a remap on my pd130 and I have so much torque that when I tickle the gas at 1900 revs the world moves backwords) people

you know the sort that had no idea what torque was until they were pi$$ed off one day and decided to read the spec list of the pd130 and realised that the car they own has more of it than the guy next door

why are we dissagreeing????????????????????

both quick cars at the end of the day is that graph using NOs tho mikey?

First graph with NOS which i will admit i am not a fan of really which is why i am getting a bigger turbo setup fitted and getting work done to improve low end power. Here is a graph with just diesel and propane. Where the graph keeps having little down spikes is when the haldrex unit is shifting power front and back. Still not had it mapped to take into account of the propane and NOS so more power in the present setup still yet to come just lacking funds to do anything at the moment :(.

This is just diesel with stock injectors maxed out.

still mentalpower from a diesel fair play mate im in process of saving for internals limited slip diff next stage up clutch and anouther remap :D gonna go for a little more power ;)

haha rash i remember one of the first posts i read from you.
vowed i will NEVER want to do any modifications as it was mental quick and looked great standard.

now you have all that power and you STILL want more haha you nutter, some people are never pleased ey?

that quote should be in my signature somewhere that has gone right down the pan!!!:cartman: and to think it all started from a smaller reg plate on the front because the old 1 kept on coming unstuck at the ends

so much more to come now Tho!!!

Even with a diff isn`t traction going to be a major issue what with it beeing a FWD car? Traction or more like lack off is why i went 4wd with this car.
Now you have seen mine lets have a look at yours :headhurt:, graph that is !

has this argument not occured numerous times on the boards

you have to look at it this way, a diesel and a petrol are designed for different circumstances. diesel is lower revs more torque and economy, where petrol revs higher power bhp and less torque

if i could afford to run a petrol realistically then i would but my next car will be diesel, i have running costs to take into account and the diesel wins hands down in that catagory

having said that if money was not a concern i would be having petrol as my next car

Seconded! :D

mikey off course traction is still going to be an issue as its FWD car and il admit that but it really not THAT bad it grips the road really well even in wet i blatently cant give it everything but i can still eventually get the pedal to the carpet ;)

il get the graph up when im at home im on lunch break at work at the mo :D as i said my graph is irrelevent to show how the power is intoduced as i had wheelspin on the rollers :(

Update. Cudnt get custom code phase 2 done in the end. Kev tried all day but to up the power would seriosly put the turbo at risk. Turns out that the original, which had to be writted from scratch was pretty powerful anway. As many of you agree you wudnt want to risk the turbo. IMO JBS were very professional in not just upping the power and sending me on the way. They were very honest and IMO other tuners may have just sent me on my way with a map that could damge the car. Also got cruise control fitted which is awesome.

I thought the phase two was a custom map which could be tailor made for the car?? U still running about 190ish then??

is is a custom map but whats the point in paying for a custom if the generic one is doin the best job it can for the car anyways. i think that is good off not to snatch your money and do it anyway tbh.
but i thought phase one remap on a cupra tdi was around 190-195 anyway??

I think what it was is my phase 1 map was pretty much custom anyway because they had to write the code from scracth. Took a good few hours. Even with a custom map you wud struggle to get over 200 but as diesel drivers know bhp means bugger all.

just had a look at the website, it says 190-195 for phase 1 and 190-200 for phase 2, so whats the point anyway? and extra possable 15ft'lbs of torque ? which you wouldn't want on a standard clutch anyway.
