Leon Boot Rattle

:D Sorted problem.Took bottom inner trim off boot lid.[big hassle] Joining bar between lid release lever and boot catch is adjustable on thread assembly.Took apart and screwed in a bit.HEY PRESTO rattle gone.Best way to see if this is your problem before taking to bits is to drive along with central locking open.If noise has gone but returns when locked then thats the only way to resolve it.
Hope its helpful,
Regards,

Sooo glad I finally fixed my boot rattle. It makes driving so much more fun without little annoying things getting on ur nerves.

My rattle turned out to be the bar that joins the boot badge up to the main locking mechanism, the bar had too much play in it and is fixed by takign it off at the ball joint and screwing the black plastic piece on so the metal bar doesnt have any play in it.

Been fine since Sunday now, only rattle I get now is from speed bumps.

Had exact same if it sounds like a continual metal on metal tapping.....replaced boot lock under warranty finally solved it.

Same happened here... its the base of the boot.

My car went 5 times to SEAT to eliminate rattles.. came back worse every time.

Detach the rear lower boot lining..... put some cloth arounf cables... and edges...

Old tshirt... or blanket or so... Fit the plastic housings again...

No more ZOO SOUNDS in the boot.
