Cupra vs 350z

Had a play/race with a 05 plate 350Z tonight along a dual carriageway from about 40mph, he was infront with me chasing him.

Up until 4th gear he couldnt shake me and i couldnt gain enough to overtake but once in 5th he started to edge forward.

Anyone else had a play with one

i think you did about right they are only 280 bhp from a 3.5 ! when you think bmw m3 is 342 odd from a 3.2 and ibiza have been able to stay with them till 100+

they are 5.9 seconds to 60 standard, id want a faster car than that for that sort of money!

350z are pretty slow,i'm sure a remapped cupra could keep up.

even the 350z with its "sports pack" only gets another 15 bhp or something, im fairly sure its not a noticeable difference too.

evo 8 fq340 mr for under 30k am id have one over a 350z anyday

these are all recently sourced on the road prices too, the coupe is a nice tourer but its no tarmac beastie like other jap and german wagons.

iv thought about it and i cant think of one the TT V6 is 30grand and will only have 250bhp, S2000 be closer i think, Z3/Z4 will be over 30k..others?

a boxter is ****, a boxter s is not much better and over 30k

Yeah, I can see that when a BMW M3 (assume we are talking E46 as you mentioned 342 odd bhp) can do 0-100 in less than 12 seconds!!
