Ive got a forge turbo actuator at work to fit next, so that should hold boost better.

there where a few scoobies, evo's, VX220 turbo. Honda civic type r, Z4 M was a good day and i was pushing hard, over taking most of them apart from the civic type r i could keep with him on the corners but was faster on the straights.
Looking forward to my next day.

Can any one tell what ive removed to fit my catch can in place ?

hey mate i must ask you? are youa mechanic? how long would it take to fit a actuator? do you need to take the turbo out on a lcr? and why not change the ko4 as well when turbo is taken out?

hope you can help im trying to solve a problem in refence to my lcr only making 251bhp with a stage one map! everything else on car is fine! tsr think my actuator may be letting by hence ajusting to a healthy 251bhp?

cheers:headhurt:

hey slim yea im a Technician at awesome gti, been a mechanic about 8 years now. they are a bit of a pain to fit took me about 3 - 3:30 hours to fit. didnt totally remove the turbo, but there is a water pipe that needs undoing and lets you undo the 10mm bolt for the actuator bracket.

i was working over a pit so was up and down all the time doing my car

what is your car doing ?

well tsr think that my actuator is letting by when remap was done! the ecu was calling for boost ,but all it would give was 20psi other wise anymore and it would let by @3500rpm giving a rubbish torque figure and map. but at lower boost hence 20 psi it would give a happy 20psi,hence 251bhp. should i just fit a new actuator? or do the turbo as well? 04 plate lcr, 66k miles?

John, did you get the 330mm 2-piece discs like mine or are they 323s? Now that my hubs are straight, with ds2500s they are superb :D

I wouldnt think its actuator first off, 20 psi with stage 1 revo map sounds more than what it should be getting.

im on stage 2 APR with a adjustable actuator and doin 24 psi which drops off and holds about 22psi

I think they are 330 like yours they are bit bigger than standard discs.
yea them DS2500 and best pads you can get, really good stuff.

i got the same camera mount aswell as you.

ready for the track 6th feb

ah good stuff. Where are you trackdaying? I'm looking at Snetterton on 20th feb and going to the 'ring on Good Friday.

im at oulton park this time.i was thinking the ring over that bank hols weekend but gotta see how the cash flow is.

just tyred mine new brakes and looking at MBC and 3" tip

I had DS3000's on my Porsche setup on the Leon and hated them - literally dangerous when cold, awful squeel but have to admit decent when warmed up.

I changed them for DS2500's after a month or so and it was an ideal compromise. They are good when cold, sometimes a little squeel but performance is fantastic regardless. Really good £100 upgrade in my opinion.

John,

Can you check the disc thickness and size please.
When I got mine the incorrect ones were sent.

Also remember you will need a calliper spacer to allow these to fit correctly

latest track day at oulton park, was a good day didn't get much track time because of the many red flags and the fog coming in giving poor vision, but here are my pics :D
