What a MASSIVE difference from just a remap on my standard car, it was done on thursday but had a bit of bother with it, once it was done I took out for a test drive and as soon as I floored it and it came on boost one of the coilpacks went tits up which was wierd, bought a new one for £20 fitted it and then took it out again, seriously impressed :D

The only gripe I have with it is that it runs out of puff about 5k revs, The power really kicks in about 3k. I was told that the cause would be the TIP, anyone any ideas on this???

Had a wee play with an R32 golf on a private road this evening all the way upto top speed and I pulled easily away from him till I hit 5k revs then he just kept on pulling on me and passede easily, was fun tho

Anyways, back to this TIP thing, would fitting one help and if so in what way???

i'd recommend a tip regardless, but i can't see it helping the running out of puff at 5k issue, as said before it's just a downside to running a small turbo.

However the tip should improve spool up slightly, and i found a slight difference in induction noise, also the standard parts are very restrictive and are known to collapse under the suction of the turbo.

k03s may help, but i wouldn't expect any miracle's, as the k03's' is just a modified version of the k03, which from memory has a larger compressor side along with some other small changes, which enable it to flow more power, someone please feel free to correct me as i'm still learning all this my self.

Cool, so fitting TIP is a good idea anyways???

Is there any benefit of fitting the K03s then, like would I notice the difference over the standard k03???

Would I have to have it remapped again with the k03s???

Would fitting a 3" downpipe with sport cat be worth while???
