cutting out

anyone any ideas why my car keeps cutting out? it only does it when its been sitting for a while. e.g. overnight, or outside work all day. when i press the clutch coming up to a junction it cuts out

Faulty idle air control valve i'd say

does it misfire once every so often too? Like, miss a beat just once every once in a while.

Throttle body. Give it a clean. Should sort you out.

when it cuts out, do the dash lights go blank, and the mileage indicator go blank?

if yes, then likely to be the ECU control relay.

if no, then probably the throttle body
