Can you flash then with the bi-xenon H4 bulbs? maybe that's what andygolf has ;)

I'd be interested to know how effective the dual xenon bulb is. I've seen dodgy video's of the bulb in action, it actually moves when you flash. Either tilting ones, or ones which get longer and shorter to compensate. They didn't look too convincing

Not quite right adam, the kits in the link aren't the type where they have a HID section and a seperate halogen main beam element, the ones in the links have one hid section that is solenoid activated to move it between the dipped and high beam positions. The movement between the dipped and main positions just moves the light from the HID unit onto either the reflectors for dipped beam or the reflectors for main beam.

You just need a bi-xenon H4 HID kit, Got one of the kits for a mates bora which is H4, the kit is about £20 dearer but well worth it IMHO. This is the kit we got for his Bora
H4 Bi-Xenon

ahh thats very interesting... i stand corrected :)

Yeh you can flash with them, there solenoid operated so flash as quickly as the solenoid can move the HID unit. Mates had his on his bora for around 3months now with no problems.

So the ones im showing in the ebay link are the correct ones for my headlights?

As long as your headlights are H4 bulbs, which they should be, maybe worth taking the bulb out and checking just to be on the safe side.

Very effective, the ones in the link I posted have been fitted to my mates Bora for around 3 months, had no problems with them and they are very good on main and dipped. When we fitted them they felt like a well made item and are chunky but fit well into the headlight. His are the sort that are moved in and out on a solenoid to move them between high/lo beams.

Good info, cheers! Have a friend considering these types, glad to hear positive first hand experience about them.

andygolf: have you found the instructions or whatever on how you can flash with HIDs on full beam?

that made me chuckle. Some people don't even have one set, or are unsure, you'll soon be on not 1, not 2, but 3 sets :D

don't think you're the 1st to have 2 sets! possibly 1st to have HID fogs ;)
