Hi Guys, I spoke to a mate last night, who's missus is looking to get a cupra, i've previously informed him of all the usual stuff to look out for.

While test driving, he noticed the drivers side floor mat was a little damp, he checked this, and the mat and floor underneath the mat was a little damp.

A little further into the testdrive, he felt somthing cold on his foot. Pulled over and there was like a droplet of water that had gone onto his shoe and dripped through to his sock.

I told him that the Leon's were known as suffering from a similar issue, but i wasnt aware of the ibiza's having the problem.

He said it isnt too bad, but wondered if it affects other cars, has anyone else had or know of any issues like this??

Cheers
Tom

has it got on gauge of some sort? they may not sealed up properly when they routed it into the car?? mine did a little bit once.

cheers rich

Hmm, yes, its got a boost gauge. Good point, he's going to look at another, but this one looks not good. So i'll get him to check the routing of the Boost Gauge piping, and check the seal!

Cheers

My mate popped around last night, and i had a look at the car, nice looking car, pretty much standard. Nice, clean example.

Although i checked the floor, and it does seem that water is getting in somehow, into the drivers footwell.

I checked and can see nothing obvious, but while poking around under the dash, i felt a piece of plastic above the clutch pedal, that seems to be where the water is dropping down from. Although how its getting there, i wouldnt know! The boost gauge piping, seems to have been pushed through the side of a rubber grommet, I dont know whether this is where the water is coming in from?

Does anyone know where the drainage pipes in the scuttle panel area are, and where they run too.

Anyone with Elsa??

He's noticed a small gap in the corner of the windscreen on the outside, where the bottom of the windscreen meets the plastic section at the bottom of the screen.

ive got the exact same problem
it drips onto the clutch pedal but only when facing up a hill??
