This past week as I've been driving about my car seems to beep 3 times from the dash ( most the time when setting off) anyone got a idea what could cause this or could it be my faulty dash playing games again

Interesting, dad's VW Transporter van does this, and we've no idea why. No fault codes or warning lights. Drive's fine.

If you work out why, let me know?

We just think the van is mental.

It's only started this past 2 weeks. I read could be abs sensors playing up but it isn't showing

I'm only stabbing in the dark here, but maybe the handbrake isn't releasing properly as it's doing it mostly when setting off?

I know if you leave the handbrake on and drive away it'll beep repetitively, so I'm guessing it's slowly releasing, or sticking? Only guesswork mate. Suppose you could intentially drive away with the handbrake on to see if it's the same beep to rule it out?

My Audi used to do this. Only did it when the battery was low. The computer was detecting low voltage at the abs pump and made the warning tone.

Hmmm battery is brand new and is charging on the volt meter to
14v so that's ruled out. Possibly the switch on the handbrake maby Faulty hmmmm

no lights on the dash?
if it was low brake fluid id expect more of a waring than beeps and nothing else..

The other potential is low coolant level warning, on the leons they beep but also flash on the coolant temp gauge. when its cold the level drops a bit. could try topping it up a little.

Temps fine , coolents in the middle of min/ max. Hasn't done it today, I'm baffled

no its not a temp issue, a coolant level issue, - but due to a poorly reading level sensor so the coolant may not actually be low. Well this is the issue on the leon and id imagine it could be the same..
Was it a little warmer today? as in the weather being warmer? if so then you dont tend to get this issue, its when the weather is cold that the coolant sits lower and if the sensor is not 100% then you can get this warning. then as the coolant warms the level rises and so you tend to just get it on cold days a few seconds after driving and then it goes away.

Was the prob fixed?

I have the same issues but I have the engine management, abs, steering lights plus flashing red handbrake light.

Having had my clocks sorted by bondiblu(cheers bud), replaced battery for new and also checked the load signal wires. I'am now thinking it could be a wheel speed sensor.

Any ideas?

Mine hasn't done it for a few days now . It's a weird one, have you had the 4 dial dash put in?
