Data plan/wifi in car - the advantages?

What are the advantages for having a cubic data plan or connection to wifi hotspot from phone?
Because with cupra connect i see all actual car info without any external connection, and, if im right there are also OTA updates.

The only thing i see is that there is no webradio without a connection.
Are there more missing features?

Having just picked ours up I too have a similar question since there are specific internet radio stations we like to listen to, which we would like to do wirhout having to connect via a hotspot on our phones.

The connect app won't connect remotely once your first free data year is over, the useless in built satnav won't update or show traffic but otherwise I didn't notice much difference in my last MK4.

They've changed that since Seat became Cupra, it also says ten years included to remotely access the car - perhaps nobody used the app after the first year when it had to paid for?

There are two things you can buy for the Cupra Leon:
- Cupra Connect
- Cubic Telecom data plan

Cupra Connect is used for all the remote stuff on your phone and more (see list in attached images)

The data plan is used when you use the cars eSIM as a hotspot and when streaming from online services like Tidal, Apple Music and Webradio.
