I'm just updating my files at home as I needed some other documents out and have tabulated my servicing costs (hopefully this counts as a full service history ... lol). The price seems reasonable considering that the car lives in a European urban environment and gets a decent amount of usage.

also, I forgot a windscreen replacement surcharge of £120, therefore, £7458.

for the yearly tax in England (2015-2024): 10 x £120 = £1200

for the yearly insurance in England (2015-2024): 10 X £600 = £6000

for the fuel consumption (6.0l/100km is what I'm seeing on average with mixed usage ... 39.02mpg (US) / 47.08 mpg (UK): 144343 mi = 232297 km / 100 km = 2323 x 6 = 13987 litres used @ £1.5/litre average = £20.9k in petrol

so, total cost so far = £20.9k + £6k +£1.2k +£7.5 +£9k = £44.6k for 145k miles

residual value of the car is likely £1.5-2k, so £43k for 145k miles of usage

or about £0.30/mi or $0.39/mi

interesting ...

also, curious whether we should lease something new or run something into the group, so here's a datapoint for that comparison.
