Don't know if its worth mentioning but there are fuses also in the black box on top of the battery, loads of red wires go into the box.
They are open fuses with varying sizes, they look like dog bones of thin metal connecting two wires to each other.
Do you have a multimeter ? Because it sounds like your going to need one.
Personally i would start by checking your voltages on the fuse board.
Blade fuses normally have a bit of exposed metal on the head which you can use to test voltage or continuity.
You shouldn't continue buying parts and swapping them with guess work, either contact an electrician or buy a multimeter and start checking voltages at varies parts of the car.
