death of my ibiza

today my ibiza chill died, the cam shaft pully has snapped of, what is the best thing to do? the greenline man pretty much told me he thinks its and that id need a new engine as the remains of the bolt went into the engine, and that chances are the valves will be screwed.
this was my first car and im not really sure what to do next
sell it as spares? if so what is it likely to be worth in this state.
try and mend it?
any help would be apprechiated

sorry to hear that mate.
if you can find a cheap secondhand engine and have the skills to put it in. then do that then your back to cheap motoring.
of scrap it and sell the bits. your not guna get much for the bit as th,ere not cupra spec and that where the money is.
last costly option engine convertion. 2.0 16v, 20vt, vr6, g60

looks like the best thing to do then is just to get rid of the ibiza fast as poss so i can insure something new, now i just need someone who wants an ibiza that dont move and a car to replace it with

Sorry to hear it. Looking about £300 for a 2nd hand engine from a scrapyard plus cost to install.

Would insurance cover this sort of thing?

Doubt you will get more then a cpl of hundred pounds for it on ebay as a non runner.

tht really sucks dude! i think your best bet is to go shopping for a new motor and put it on ebay if it doesn't sell then weigh it in!!
