Been looking at decats on fleebay as my standard flexi broke by the manifold -_- . Ive noticed theres two types on there the ones that come in two parts and the ones that come in one piece, anyone have any experience with them on which one to buy im sick of driving around with my windows down and no heating becaues of the exhaust fumes. Help!
 
Sorry my bad i should've stated from the start. Seat leon 20v turbo 2003, stage 1 with no other mods
 
I'm running the ebay decat and downpipe and its pretty good! The twin tubular one is for the cupra R the single version is for the cupra 180 ;)
 
Bear in kind at mot time u will need to stick the stock cat back on for emissions unless u know a friendly mot tester,I got this decat because its easier to remove three bolts to take off the centre section than disturb the slip joint
 
Good point spanner87, do you notice any gains or sound improvement?, id probably need an o2 spacer also wouldn't i.
 
You can hear the turbo spool a lot louder and the odd pop through the system when your having it lol.turbo spools quicker. I'm not running a spacer and have no CEL light on or error codes,its down to the individual car but I don't have a problem on mine,runs sweet
 
Pops! Now wer talkin lool, possibly might get the cobra non res system after, will those mate onto this straight away?

Exactly. I've just had a decat fitted with a V banded section so if needs be its a quick and easy swap for a sports cat.

Good call on the vband redbull,looks tidy too!

Regarding the cobra system I'm not sure on whether its a flange or slip on system,easily modified though as the decat has 3 lips and reducers on it ranging from 3" to 2.5"

I do like it the bonus with those two pieces is where the flexi pipe is situated which i belive will possible less likely to be damaged there. I do wish i hadnt gone ahead an payed for that one now :(
 
Have you ordered a one piece DP? If so just get someone to cut it and weld a flange/V band.
 
Yerr one piece decat from the mani. Ill probably end up getting a refund and going for the two piece. Do you have any links for the toyosport one.
