delay on power kicking in...

Alrite i need a little help,

When im driving my car i can be sitting about say 30mph in 4th gear and put the foot down and my car makes a loud sucking noise from the induction kit and takes a good few seconds for the power to kick in anyone know what may be wrong?? this also happens in all other gears aswell cant remember it doing it before.

Nothings wrong that perfectly normal, the 'sucking' you hear is the turbo spooling up and IMO it will take time for the power to kick in in 4th @30mph.

If its more of a hissing sound it could be a boost leak/popped hose.

As said above your going to get lag from 30 in 4th as its not on boost at that point dont forget they dont start on boost till around 2.5k revs...try 30 from 2nd or 3rd then floor it you should get a much better reation...if not then could be boost leak maybe...
