Difference between FMIC and side replacements?

What are the advantages of having the forge FMIC over the forge side replacement intercoolers if any?

Yes fmic is better than smic. Better air flow, no nasty tight angles.

SMIC's tucked behind fog lights, FMIC getting air directly onto it behind a grilled more or less open vents = better!

are the Toyosport FMIC anygood, I'd love a FMIC but Forge are just a bit expensive!

Yeah there are owners on here with them, might need to bead the pipework or rough up the pipe so the silicone grips better.

Definitely bead/rough the pipework so the hoses don't come off. I have a TX FMIC and the lower metal pipes are NOT beaded and they've popped off at motorway speeds. NOT IDEAL..

Toyosport coolers themself are meant to be great quality and perform well for these cars BHP ratings, the important part is making sure your pipework is secure under such boost your car will run...

I would buy a Forge if I was doing it again, no doubt about it.

Can the cooler and the pipes be bought seperate, a lad i know with a mk4 golf gti said he did this and it only cost him about £110
