Hi all,

been thinking today, about the car and how it's running etc and seems good at the moment, but i know i have a clutch change coming in the future.

Now, been quoted several times for a clutch and they range from £700 - £1000 for a clutch rated to 250bhp (incase i stage 2)

Now, this is alot of money for a clutch, and with the car at 100k now... its not old, but its not a spring chicken either... its always been looked after by tuners, but its just the fact its running more power and its lower.

Im getting knocking from the rear suspension too, so assuming my bushes etc are going which isnt all the expensive but its still money to be spent.

Then i need some work on the bodywork... been quoted £400 to start at the front of the car and work back... sorting ANY blemishes and rust... which is a good deal and i can help which will teach me the skills i want to learn.

I put this at £1500 before i look at bushes, and before anything else breaks.

Is it worth that sort of expenditure do you think?

Am i better to sell the car as it is, for say 3.5/3k or keep it?

Im hopefully getting a new job soon where i wont need to use the car much... so this is why im thinking now.

what you think?

this is what i was thinking... but its alot of money.. say £2k to fix everything i listed above... and then what if the lump goes? hmmm

this is what i have been told by a few people... to keep it, because its been looked after by Seat and Tuners all its life...

Hmmmm!
