Just got myself some valet pro ph neutral snow foam and wondered best dilution ratio ? I'm only using one of those cheap bottles to see how I get on before I buy a proper snow lance.. I know it's rubbish but don't want to under or over dilute.. Just humour me please lol

I go for an inch of solution in the bottom of a standard 1l bottle the rest with hot water, lasts me 5 or 6 washes. The key to snow foam is to lay down one goo layer of foam on the first pass, no benefit at all to be gained from going back over it and layering the foam up

Many thanks for your input. I never knew hot water was good to mix it with? Will give it a go with warm water on Saturday . Will do inch in the bottom and rest water. I thought you had to use the whole bottle up once mixed? Never thought you could save some :)

I've heard many times about using it with warm water and have tried it myself. Can't say that there is any obvious difference in foam quality with warm snow foam mixture or snow foam that I've saved from a previous wash. In my opinion, the mixture going to be combined with lots of cold water from the pressure washer anyway, so is there really much to be gained?

I normally fill it up all the way and use what I need, then store the rest in a water bottle to reuse another day. You should get into the habit of rinsing the foam lance out with water (put it in the foam bottle and spray a bit) to stop foam from drying inside of the lance and blocking up the gauze that creates the foam.

The warm water doesn't give you a better foam, it's more for when you're filling the bottle up it dilutes a lot easier (especially if you're using a gloopy foam) as for storing, take off the head and switch over to a new bottle with clean water, put some cling film over the bottle with your foam mixture inside and it will last as long as you want it to, my last bottle has done me 7 washes :)

All good advice thanks . My foam was gloppy. Thought it had frozen a bit when I mixed it? Obviously it supposed to be like that lol. Have to say I did a 1-14 mix and foam was good for a cheap hand held thing. May try 1-10 mix next time . I did use warm water and still have enough left for another 2 cars I think . Overall good fun lol..

Save your money buy some Citrus Pre Cleaner and a pump sprayer far more effective than snow foam.
