When connected via bluetooth listening to music or satnav commands the Seat media system in my 2014 Cupra 265 works great. If I plug the USB from the glovebox in it tries to connect to that (understandably). The only problem is it overrides bluetooth and wont let me select or play music from it. So basically I can charge the phone from the glove box but I can't have bluetooth activated at the same time.

Has anyone found a solution.

Buy one of the cigarette lighter ports > USB adapters and charge it via that, that's what I use and it works fine

press media again and select BT audio?

It throws up an error and wont let me. Trust me i've tried.

I could do this but there wire would be running from near the arm rest and would be annoying going past the gear stick.

Any other solutions?

I don't know the layout off the top of my head for an mk3 Leon but surely you could drop the cables down the passenger side and leave the phone near the cigarette port.

Another suggestion (don't know if you've tried already) is to plug the usb in, then connect to the Bluetooth!

I figured it out. I think it's a little glitch but found a way to sort it.
Thanks for the help. I wasn't sure of there was an easy solution I was missing or a common problem.

Not sure what your fix is, but I suspect if it's not iPhone, the USB is trying to access the same music that is playing by Bluetooth.

I use the iPhone MDI adapter with a 30 pin adapter to lightning, with an Audi cable for audio (Audi cables gives album covers and can even do video)
Never tried the music via Bluetooth at the same time (no need and can't imagine it would) but the Bluetooth phone still definitely still works.
