Disabling Auto-Rear-Wash-Wipe

I thought that you could disable automatic rear windscreen wipe on reverse via the visibility options menu in the main touchscreen display?

Unfortunately I was being too optimistic - I checked this out on my car (October 2013 FR with Technology Pack) this afternoon and found that after all you cannot disable automatic rear windscreen wipe on reverse, using the options in the CAR menu, even though page 82 of the MY13 LEON Owner's manual makes it look as if you might be able to select or deselect this option.

Yeh, but does it not only work if you reverse with the front wipers on.

Or use VCDS to unlock the magic setting in the CAR menu

If your user manual says it should be there, maybe you could convince your dealer to enable it? I noticed in the latest version of VCDS the option is now half in English and the other in German, just replace the first word in my previous post after the number with Rear wiper.
