Sorry i have no idea, it doesn't specify how long,

The only additional info i have is this:

Switch on radio The display reads "SAFE" followed by "1000"
Introduce radio code, confirm bt pressing PROG key untill you hear a beep
and the display reads "SAFE" If you get the number wrong
the dispaly continues to read "SAFE" respect the waiting intervals btween attempts.

I know it's not very clear is it, but the handbook doesn't specify how long, presumably you just have to wait till the "2 SAFE" on the display goes away then go throught the sequence again,

Sorry if thats not clear enough blame the bloke who wrote the SEAT handbook...

I know what you mean just phoned seat he say leave radio switched on and lock the doors 2 c if that works
will try that now if no luck going to have to pay

Radio Code Caution

What did you do, I've got the same prob with the wifes car, spent all last night p***ing around with NO joy, Still the same, " 2 SAFE " after 12 Hrs !!!

please help, cheers

Went through this phase with mine. Left it with the key in and radio on, only to come out later to find it still had safe on display.[:@] Basically i found out that although you need to leave it like this for 30 mins, you only get a small time window of 5 mins to put the code in or it goes back to safe mode again.

Tip set it going and then set a count down for 27 mins. Spend the last 3 in the car waiting for the display to change.

Saves a lot of frustration

Some times it takes longer than 30mins! i just , remove the key, press the on button on tape, lock the doors, hav a nap and coem back.

Interval Period for radio...!

Hi Boewolf,

Did you ever get your radio sorted out? I've had the same problem where i lost the power to my radio and then accidently put the wrong code in. I followed the instructions in the radio manual regarding the interval period but after 5 days i thought i'd kill the power and start again. One week on and nuffing! "2 SAFE" still, what do i do mate? Help me please.

still no joy i am ready to smash it now

LOL! i had this problem a few months ago turned out my code was wrong in the handbook. It was so annoying i had no radio for 2 weeks. Just turbo noises.

Anyways leave the radio switched on when you lock the doors make sure you check it is still lit up, saying SAFE.

In an hour go back it should be off as it does this when it is ready to accept another try.

If all else fails go to a dealer or stick in a pioneer like i have now.
