Disconnecting battery ?

I have a 2003 lcr with a eml on.
presuming these are progressive ecu's will disconnecting my battery for a hour clear all faults ???
also if i remember rightly the alarm goes off when battery is disconnected is there a way around this ???

Howdy, the alarm will only sound once you reconnect the battery, just do the usual lock/unlock to stop it once connected, or pull the fuse on the horn will you play about with it and that way only the hazard lights will flash. Not sure about the ECU....sorry didn't really answer your question....

You would be better off puting VAG-COM on it to find out what the fault codes are and then clearing them

i know what the codes are the pipe that goes from charge pipe to n75 has split open. iv repaired it now but dont have a vag com..

Sorry but no, the fault code will usually stay on till cleared. Have an ask in Vagcom section, i'm sure for a pint some kindly soul will reset for you!
