If you take your mods of then it will attract people who just want the car to dri e abkut normally who are boring and dont like mods. On the other hand if you keep them on then people who want to buy its think.."well its been modded already so thats saved me quite abit" but then again like mike said people will think youve thrashed it about. Cant win really lol. Id try and hold on for it abit longer and then try to sell it

You're going to find it harder to sell in the general marketplace because it isn't stock.

Boost gauges, induction kits and square number plates make Joe Public walk away.

+1 When I bought mine (4 weeks now!) I went looking for standard and good service history, despite the fact I will probably now modify it a little and maintain it myself.

I was looking on pistonheads, ebay but found mine on Autotrader.

Dito, i bought mine purposely standard and unmodded as you dont know whats been done to it before. least then I knew I could build it properly and to my spec and standard.
If you can, take the mods off and sell them seperately. lol one thing I can never do to mine now!

I'm looking at the moment and the general shopping list for me is a facelift LC standard, not yellow, reasonably low miles, FSH and unmodified. First thing the insurance asked was "Is it modified" answer yes and your asking for a silly quote. 180bhp is plenty for me and if i want anymore i will buy the Cupra R. Things like stainless exhausts, silicone hoses and DV are fine but anything else i will generally walk away.

Hop up parts will fetch a premium on Ebay so personally i would return it to stock

I really struggle just get rid of a mk4 Golf GTI @ 150bhp.
Where as a year ago it would have been snapped up and nearly had to give it away.

allot of what I call 'part time' buyers would have bought things like it a couple years ago have all gone into diesels or similar

That's really not what I want to be hearing lol.

Do you think it would be worth more in 12 months time?

Now removed Nomad Pod & Gauges, Dynatwist induction kit and Forge Split R DV. Seems selling these Cupras is a pain in the ass lol

£3750 no offers and no more timewasters. Only got 11 days left on insurance :(. If it doesn't sell at this price it's going in the garage as a 12 month project ( this is kinda now what I'm hoping for ) :). This is killing me!!

I cant believe how little you are aksing and this hasn't shifted! The price of LCR's these days would make me say stuff it and spend the extra 800 odd pounds a year in fuel over the cupra diesel.

Having said that i can't shift that either at the moment. I dont think i am asking too much (£4500 with 95k and its just had £600 worth of camshaft) but i have had next to no interest at all on it.

Really need it sold in the next month or so and i really could do without taking a massive hit on it! Nothing seems to be shifting that quick these days though....
