Its good to know what your putting out at the wheels as that could then be made as a comparison against another car. people generally argue about flywheel figures not meaning much but wheel powers do.
I believe rolling road runs are quite informative, it tells you graphically how healthy your car is running. It lets you know the shape of your torque curve and how smooth/uneven it is. It also lets you know where peak power is achieved which is good information to have especially if you want the best out of your car.
I mean there's no point changing up at say 7500rpm, when your peak power is at 6500. The only way you'll find this out is from a rolling road run.
It would make you aware of problems you may not thought you had, ie severe boost spikes, irregular up and down spikes in the graph etc.
To say they are useless and not worthwhile is perhaps a bit silly IMO as they do serve a purpose especially with the points ive made above.
Ive had 272bhp (234whp) @ jabbasport,
277bhp (240whp) at JBS
242whp @ awesome (Fly figure was low though @ 256bhp, but awesome fly figures are another story)
(all in different states of tune, jabba 1st, JBS 2nd and awesome 3rd)
Ive since had FMIC/BF exhaust/ Tip so hopefully should see a little more on top.
