Iv had a new set of JBL front door speakers that are amped in my car a week and the speaker on the left sounds not right, quite crackly and when i change the balance to compare it with the right one i can really hear a difference.
I had these fitted for me and took the car to the place where they did it but it didnt sound so bad then, typical!!
Any ideas what it could be?
i took the speaker out of the door in case something was catching on it but it sounded the same. Could it have been like this from the factory or is it something else maybe?

oh okay im emailing car audio direct now doubt they do anything prob say its the installers fault but can't see anything wrong with the speaker but what do i know!? Thanks for your help ICE god!

EDIT- sending it back now hope i get a new one

[:@]Right they STILL have my speakers and jave sent it to JBL and have confirmed there is a fault and are sorting a replacement, I'm also hasseling them for my £5 it cost to send it back!
I left the other speaker in but faded the soun away from it bar a little bit and now that speaker sounds distorted!I told them this and they said:

To be honest it is not really advisable to run a speaker on its own like that so this may be attributable to the distortion. Also, it may be that the speakers are not at fault as it is unlikely both speakers will have the same problem and is more likely the fault lies with over powering the speakers rather than a manufacturing defect.

what you think? I'm getting really pissed of waiting for a speaker i paid £80 for now
