Does your LCR feel slower over time?

Everyone says that the LCR power delivery is very smooth and you get used to it very fast.

I'd agree with that, often it feels quick, but not heart thumbingly rapid like it did when I first got my LCR (coming from a 1.4 saxo the shame!!)

But, when I boot it in 3rd / 4th for overtaking etc i'm still surprised how quckily i pass things

Try driving a slower car and then get back into it, I'm sure it will feel fast as fook then.

I took mine in to get some work done last week and borrowed a 1.6 new shape Leon to potter around in all day. Getting back into my LCR afterwards really made me appreciate the performance, have been loving that little bit more ever since!

its dd, i was thinking about this today coming home with my mates 1.9 diesel stilo behind me, he kept up pretty well, consudering i have 275bhp and he has about 120 or so, he kept up fairly well and hi handling wasn't bad either...

just felt slower today for some reason!

have to agree witht the above!! I put mine in not too long ago for a new clutch and flywheel had to borrow a Mazda 6 (sadly not the MPS) not bad comfortable drive.

When I got my beloved LCR back it felt damn quick!! combination of getting used to it - and always wanting more speed.. lol

interested to try a few examples of what was mentioned in the earlier posts.

What you need to do is go away on work in a 1.4 vectra hire car for a week, youll certainly think that your car is fast once you get back in the driving seat. I think a lot of it is just that we all get used to the power of the car, its like a woman, for the first few months you think shes great and 'drive' her everywhere, then after six months you get less and less interested until you split up, two months later you quite fancy the drive again. Its a crazy psychological thing I reckon mate.

Just a point about the engine reset - you don't have to disconnect the battery to do this. I reset mine by opening the door and bonnet, then turning the key (but not starting the engine). You hear a high pitched whine for 30 seconds. And yes I think it does clear all existing fault codes.

not so sure myself. that sounds like a throttle body alignment to me.

I drive our works 300,000 Mile Land Rover for a day and then my LCR seems like a flying machine.

Seriously though, i waited until until i had got too used to the speed of my LCR, which took a good 6 months. And then i Remapped it.

I've now had it for another 6 months and i haven't got bored of it yet...... Remapped LCR down country roads is just a hoot ..... I really don't think i could use much more power without killing myself.

The more you drive your LCR the slower it feels! try 2 week offshore then go take it for a blast!!

Maybe its becoming slower coz you have put on some weight.
