Guys can I def remove the dog bone mount without supporting the engine? Do I need to replace bolts?

As already stated, yes you can remove the dog bone mount without supporting the engine. The dogbone is a stabalizer mount and dampens the rocking of the engine backwards and forwards, it is not a support mount as such. I have changed several now.

Did you look over the supplied link to the fitting guide on Briskoda???

I wouldn't have thought so. The whole thing looks pretty straightforward. Changing the other two mounts might be a touch more challenging...

Might go for OEM dog bone bush, anyone know best place to get one??
Go for a OEM,I fitted the Powerflex dog bone kit (Part No's Pff85-505 & Pff85-420r) On tick over vibrations from the 1.9 TDI (inside the car are very noisy:cry:) but when driving the noise go's! I would stick to OEM,as aftermarket is not much difference & very noisy!

Replaced it today and no different! Think it must be front left mount by battery that's knocking when turn engine off? Any one know if easy to replace??

I wonder if it might be necessary to support the engine/gearbox whilst you change the gearbox left hand side mount.

The gearbox side engine mount is about £71 from a Seat Dealer (for the FR that is) It might be a different price for other models. German and Swedish might be cheaper I guess.
