Door light!

Can any of you guys tell me where the drivers door light (the red and clear one on the door panel) is switched on from. The bulb is fine and all 3 other doors are ok but it has stopped working. The main interior light also doesnt work when the drivers door is opened but its fine with the other 3. Cheers.

It's a microswitch in the latch mechanism. Spray with plenty of WD40 and hope it sorts it because it's a bugger to strip the door down to sort it.
Take a look at http://www.taligentx.com/passat/maintenance/doorlockmechanism/ the microswitch which will be at fault is the one connected with red/blue wires (although the lock mechanism will be slightly different in the Leon, it gives an idea of what's what)

I have the same problem on my LCR, drivers door only though. Had the dealer look at it when it was serviced and they couldnt fix it and said it was a wiring issue. More like they couldnt be bothered
