Door Mouldings

Just wondering if any1 know if the door mouldings on the leon are clipped on or double sided sticky or both as i looking to colour code them when the cupra kit is put on, dnt wnt to yank on them and end up breaking them or bending them!

He means the bump strips on the outside. Not sure if they're not just stuck on.
I think some people have just taped around them and sprayed them while still on the car. It might be easier .

yeah was thinking of doing it that way but would prefer to take them off and do them properly

pretty sure u cant get them back on again after they are taken off, they will be hard to remove and will most likely distort. only thing to do is do them on the car or buy a new set to do them off the car

Reading from other posts. They are only glued on and as above they may distort and you will have to reglue.

buy some new ones and spray them off the car.

I think the rears were £36 + VAT

All the prices from that guide are now way way out I just got stung £270 for some mouldings, a few clips, some splash shield extensions, 2 bumper grilles and some tow eye covers......and thats with 10% discount

paint them yourself mate, I did a wing mirror the other day and it wasn't too bad, awkward bloody shape though!

ive heard your best off, using the primed mouldings, because the standard textured ones are hard to prep..

they are, I have a spare one - rubbed it down out of interest to see how easy it would be but it would take a while to get the bobbles off to give a decent finish when you paint

Nah my ol mans a storeman so I got them through work, got 10% discount and obvoiusly dont have to pay delivery
