the rattle has returned i think it may be the handle to raise and lower the seat feels a bit looser than the drivers side booked it in for when it goes for the front bumper doing.

Not got any rattles in mine so far :D There's a handy button in the car for rattles though, just look at the radio and turn the volume button to the right ;)

Quality is good, for a car built in Spain.

I'm stripping mine down soon to fit some components so going to insulate stuff while im there.

eeeeh, what are you insinuating???

Here are more than ham, sun, and beaches, eh??? (btw i'm veggie)

and of course the world football champions :harhar: (and my fc.barcelona, of course) xD

cheers!

techie.
Have you had chance to fix the rattles on your doors yet?????
Getting fed up with ours now.
Cheers.

I have a theory, i think it is the rubber seal at the top and side of the door (the outside seal).
try to push the door when it is closed with your fingers (right at the top edge of the window frame where the rubber seal is) from the out side and listen. it makes a sound like you rub a finger on a balloon.

i usually clean the top edge of the frame and the noise stops for a few days.

right where the yellow circuit is.

Remember the sound is amplified on the inside of the car by many times.

I agree, it seemed to quieten down after it had rained so I cleaned and lubriacted the door seals and it would seem to have sorted it, at least for the moment.

Well mate i think you may well have solved the door rattle problem , or atleast i hope so.
We went out and did about 300 mile yesterday round trip, and both of us had a real good listen to the door seals. rubbers on lots of differant road surfaces, and it does seem like most of the noise is coming from the rubber door seals.
So i think the first thing to do is polish inside the door, then what kind of spray would you use on the rubber to make it moe slick and less sticky, need some advice on what to use, maybe that silicone spray i don,t know ,what do you think.
Cheers.

mate i don't think that the silicone spray is the right thing it is very sticky, i have an idea but i didn't try it yet.

may be to take some baby powder on the tip of your finger and rub it on the edge of the seal, this is just a temporary solution but i think it is not a solvable problem :(

Ok.
I wonder what techie used on his when he tried it ????? he said he had lubricated them.

Well i have decided to buy and try Meguiars mirror glaze professional vinyl and rubber cleaner/conditioner 40 for the door rubber seals.
I hope to try it this weekend, if i can get hold of it in time.

Well i have this Meguiars rubber cleaner now, and this morning i polished the paintwork on the inside of the door shut, and the door itself, then i applied the rubber spray on to a nice clean rag and went round the whole rubber seal including in the fold of the rubber seal it went on nice and easy left it to soak into the rubber a short while, then we went for a trip out this afternoon about 40 mile round trip on some real bumpy roads. was out for abut 3 hours one way or another.
I have only done the passenger door so far , but it was nice and silent so we will see how that go,s now and tomorrow i hope to do the same to the drivers door.
The rubber seals do seem to be the main problem.

i have cleand the rubbers with a window washing spray, did a 2 day trip, 2 hours each day.

still silent but i know that it is temporary :(

Well i think we are getting closer to solving this annoying little problem, i will keep you updated on how it goes and how long it lasts for.
Thankyou evgeni432 for pinpointing the area of concern regarding this rattle.
Well done mate.
Cheers.

There are revised door latches which can be fitted. I fitted mine today ;)

Can you tell us more please, do we take the car back to the dealers for them to fit these new updated
latches.
