Hi all,
just looking for some guidance on a DPF Issue. I have had this 2020 pre-facelift Ateca since mid 2021 (engine code DFFA) but for the last couple of years the engine warning light has been invariably on most of the time (P2002 code - diesel particulate filter (DPF)'s efficiency is below the required threshold for bank 1). It has been raised with the dealer (Marshalls Seat) before servicing but I don't believe they ever do anything other than reset set it to get it through it's next MOT and invariably it comes back on again a few days later. With a view to trying to understand the root cause I got myself a cheap ELM2 dongle, Torque for Android and VAG DPF and i have started keeping logs when doing my extended drives to work. I do two 40 mile round trips each week to the office on A-Road. My understanding is that ideally for regen to occur revs should be above 2000 so i often drive the car in manual and keep it in lower gears. Despite this I'm not sure it's doing the cycles correctly or if there is another issue such as blocked EGR or leak. I've attached a log from a recent journey. I've tried to make sense of the data but I'm not really sure what I'm looking at. Is this normal? The car is under a service plan with extended warranty until May 2026. Mileage is 52k. thanks.
