You can't switch dpf light off using vag com ...

DPF light signifies that the car is attempting a regen.

towcester vag said you can :D

im so confused haha.

Once the soot level drops the light will go out. The ecu is probably confused as there is no DPF to begin with.

VCDS will force a regen but won't instantly remove the light.

you can remove DFP light if its on - on an unmodified car. ie force a regen.

but if its been removed, you cannot remove using vagcom. well as i understand it.

surely your first port of call is get in touch with shark.

And I say you can't ... if this will be so easy everyone will do it.

For some reason DPF function to check soot level or values needed for light to switch on are not moved up.

Other idea is DPF sensor is faulty.

A faulty sensor giving out incorrect readings will cause the dpf light to come on and normally log a fault if it becomes out of its tolerence.

Best thing to do is speak to shark, i'm sure they'll be more than happy to help.

I hooked up vag com and it said the dpf was 56% full and it had been 14670km since last reg, i drove it down the road with vag com hooked up (as if to do a regen) and it switched straight to 0% and the light went out?? Should i be worried?

so this is 5arks so called dpf delete the proper way but still the light returns so the car still thinks it has a dpf NICEEE

I had a friend that removed his dpf and did nothing to the mapping and the light never showed now explain that ?

unless the pressure sensor is still receiving a high pressure triggering the blocked dpf fault to come on wich makes me wonder is that de dpf box restrictive or not done in a very good way and still creating to much pressure and triggering the car to think the dpf is blocking its a clear sigh that there is some restriction going on
