drivers airbag

my drivers side air bag ignitor is showing a fault.

any body any ideas how to fix ?

if i delete with vagcom it comes back

could be a sensor, what fault code do you get with vagcom?

If its the drivers airbag then more than likely the contact ring behind the stering wheel.


If its a side airbag igniter then check the connections under the seat first. Failing that more than likely need an airbag.


Just watch the wording as you get a drivers side airbag and a drivers side side airbag.

hi guys I've had the driver side air bag lit up as well now for close to a month and took it to my dealership and they removed the fault with VAGCOM and it came back, the fault came up as "pressure on air bag" ... i think i'll ask them to check the contact ring behind the steering wheel as u suggested Techie ;D
