drivers mirror broken?

Ive had the drivers side mirror on my FR clobbered tonight at some point, only noticed it when driving and saw it wasnt pointing where it normally does, and there was a wobble when hitting potholes.

It still folds in and all electrics work, but it wont snap into position as it would normally do from a slight knock.

Any suggestions for a fix?

update... seems the electric motor works, but of a fashion, initial fold in is slow, and fold out gets to pretty much its full extension and then the motor is clicking, like its trying to go further but something stopping it.

does this sound like its the motor been knocked out of alignment or something trivial, or is it going to be a case of a new mirror?

Have a look in your owners manual, which describes how to reset the mirrors.

mine like that but i havent got electric mirrors doesnt quite click back into its postion properly and is a bit of play back and forth.

will check the manual when i get home on the weekend, cheers.

i had the same thing happen on my old polo, that required a new mirror after it got banged into by the postman/paperboy. Theres about an inch of play in it from side to side, and there was no way of tightening it up.
