Easy now boys I think were getting abit excessive & blowing things well out of propotion!

Since when does anyone pay someone £65 an hour Labour? Who ever does has more money than sense. I work in the trade & the average is £35. Also if you know the garage well you might not even have to pay that.

I still don't believe you need new hubs as the OE numbers for both hubs fitted on disc or drum models cross reference to the same part.

I've already been able to allocate some Calipers & Carriers for £80. Disc's & pads are only £25 for me :D Then Handbrake cables are £10 for the pair. The Brake hose's & bolts should cost me much as I deal with the local stealers as we supply them parts & consumables, so one of the guys gives me good trade prices.

In realistic terms I think its achievable for alot less money than most of you think!

Watch this space...

£35 per hour? Bloody ell sounds like you are taking it to Gypse Joes house garage down the street with those rates.

I think the average is probably £65. Also dont forget wheel bearings.

Hmm, I have a 1.2 as well, I don't think a full conversion is worth it given it'd work out about 10% of the cost of the car just for minor aesthetic reasons, I'd just paint them black.

why spend so much on something that you have said is for cosmetic reasons only?
