I bought ferodo ds2500 for my LCR & noticed they haven't got a cable like on OEM & the Red Stuff ones I'm replacing? I know many of you have them & wondered if I've got the correct ones? The guy at demon tweaks seemed clued up referring to the brembo callipers. Can I fit these without connecting the wire?

Cheers

if the demom tweeks guys was so clued up, why could he not tell you?

no ds2500's for these have wear sensors.
to keep the car happy you cut the plug off the old pads, join the wires together (solder, heatrshrink etc) and plug it back and the cars happy again. You then keep an eye on pad wear the old fashioned way - lol

As Bill says (and he knows!) just cut the wires off the old pads and join together - then plug back in to the connector - happy days! :funk:

I remember a little while after doing this I had to get tyres at Quik-fit (only due to a puncture and needing tyres urgently) and the fitters were like...duh....mate someone's butchered your brake wiring....looooll

At the risk of sounding stoopid, which wires are being joined together? The wires for the brake sensors, ie from the car cut the plug part that would usually go clip into the pads 'wires' and join together?

Any picture for reference, its jsut im about to fit some!
