DTUK CRD-T ordered!

Just ordered my DTUK CRD-T tuning box for my 170hp 2.0 tdi Leon!

Gains which have been RR'd are 210hp with 443 torque! I'm like a little boy at Christmas again!

It's gona be in the post today and with me tomorrow!

I have had a couple of these ony old Astra H 1.9cdti and it was perfect!

I'll hopefully get some pictures and reviews on it as I know alot have had reaps rather than boxes!

Personally think boxes are better as there are switchable maps and different power setting! Plus they don't void warranties coz they can be taken out within a few mins!

It's a 2012 Supercopa! Been assured from Andy at DTUK that all their maps and software will run fine with my car!

Plus they do a pedal box aswel! It increase throttle response! I think it's similar to a sports button on the astra H!

Then you get a "proper" Remap done instead

(but yeah, can understand some might like the flexibility of being able to unplug this at any time, so there's no hint of a performance mod ever being added to the car).

I know its not the main reason for fitting a tuning box but I'd be interested whether it improves your mpg too.

When I had it fitted to my Astra I was getting around 75mpg on normal motorway journeys!

Andrew at DTUK is a top chap, he probably told you about their Leon CR170 demo car they run with optional pedal box, I've been out in it a few weeks ago and it flies, and they reckon the mpg rarely drops below 47mpg even on short runs, I was very impressed to say the least.

Yea he is! Spoke to him a number of times regarding loads of different things about diesels! He knows his stuff!

I can't wait to get it! Not been over 200hp for over 2 years now n really looking forward to it!

If its anything like my Astra then big is gona be good!

Am I right in thinking these boxes confuse the ecu to increase the fueling which in turn increases bhp ? I also read on the astra forum that the mpg reworld is totally different to the reading given on dash when the box is fitted .

Yep the fuel pressure rail is pumped up along with the turbo boost.

I think you should try it before you doubt it. I have had one for over three years and trust me they were fine.

Regarding the MPG, the trip computer on the old astra H was in accurate. Me being me, a tight bugger, calculated it myself and received about 5-10mpg more.
