390 quid remap vs 390 quid box?

You can sell the box on ebay for about 250 if you change your car or I think you can buy a different loom to fit another car and take it with you if the new car has a CR TDI engine.

Box every time for me.

As said on the vauxhall forums people love the DTUK boxes and scoff at remaps.

Looked into a Revo remap stage1 and for my car being so new they can't remap this looks to be the only option so I can keep my warranty intact

So if I'm to get one, it's easy enough to install and take out without them knowing it's been in when you put it into the garage for a service then put it back in when they're done?

Also, like the idea of selling it/taking it to another car when you get a new one.

Correct, you can always send it back and DTUK will put new maps on and change te loom for whichever derv you want!

It's a no brainer for someone who has a car in warrenty! Plus if you did want to sell it, it would also go in the entire Vag models!

Yep! I spoke to a Seat techie and they say to take it out about a week before it goes in just in case the hook it up to the computer! Apparently, there computer system records recent power outputs on the engine and send its to a central database! I don't know how true this is but I'll be taking it off mine when it goes in for work!

To be honest, it was easier on the Astra to take it off because the boost sensor was at the top of the engine! But with the Leon, it's at the bottom so you have to unscrew an more the mud guard! Initially it's a 20 min job, but when you know what your doing it's only a ten minute sprint!

This sounds excellent... Hopefully someone will confirm if they will actually be able to tell or not if they hook it up to the computer (even if you have taken it out the week before). Have you had it tested to see how many horses you're putting out? Do you notice the difference from take off or more in the higher gears? Sorry for all the questions mate.

Yes, i wouldn't mid too. There 28 different settings with 4 maps and 7 power settings.

It would be good to see which was best!

Yea, i would to test that out.

Yes, i noticed a massive difference from when it was off and when its on. The power comes so much easier and you don't need to press the accelerator down as much.

It just flies now. Its as fast it looks now! haha

Sometimes these things are not advised to be put in brand new cars aren't they? Or is that just warranty speak? Also do you know if they guarantee it to show results? Like if it's not any faster/better mpg can you send it back for your money back? Sorry mate, bit of a long shot you know all these answers but thought I'd ask anyway

Will at P-Torque can remap a new one

It's best to let your car do at least a 1000miles! I put mine on at 1400miles!

I know, thats what's putting me off, that little bit. But if you did have an accident then 9 times out of 10 you are able to drive off with just getting details so not that much of a worry.
