It wont reset the odometer no, but the clock will reset if the battery is off long enough, unless it has a strong capacitor :confused:

it DOES reset the trip Odometers tho - its not a stupid question!!

It will also reset your Radio so make sure you have your radio code etc to hand.

If your wanting to do it with regards to the other ECU reset thread though, i really wouldnt bother. Its not worth the hassle and its hardly as though your ECU is going to 'forget' how to achieve maximum performance, unless you do reset it!

Im thinking about doing this as my car had 140 miles on it when I got it. I have a plastic tag with the keys with a 2 digit number and a 5 digit number on it, is this the radio code?

sorted remember you have to press the PTY button to enter the code not the SCAN button like it says in the manual :wtf:

Says PTY in my manual, looks like they fixed the mistake lol

To get out of safe mode leave for an hour then u can re-enter code

dont u just enter the code if it says SAFE then if u get it wrong it will say 2 SAFE until waiting time is up then it will let u try again. Says one hour waiting time in manual and radio has to be powered on during that time.
