Dye kit for steering wheels

Has anyone done anything with there steering wheel in the lcr's

Want to make wheel fresh and new looking against.

Would a leather dye kit do this?

And has anybody done it got advice on it.

Yo mate if you do a search there is a quick guide on refurbing a LCR wheel. Looks pretty good. Gonna have a go at doing mine soon. In the mean time get yourself to B&Q, treat yourself to a Flash Dash. For the cost of a quid it keeps your dash and controls including wheel looking all clean and shiny!

I read that some people just use black shoe Polish to cover over any red that shows through on worn patches.

Yeah that's the one. Shame about the pics but the process seems straight forward and will be better than nothing. Like I said I'm gonna have a go at mine so I'll post some pics after if it turns out ok.

Id like to be able to strip back the bits that fade to red to make those parts red in their entirety. Prob impossible though
