Easiest way of getting a second key

hi people i know this has prob been asked before but i cannot find a definate answer.
i only have one flip key for my LCR , what is the easiest and cheapest way of getting myself another one, which will actually work !

Buy a second hand key from someone. Buy a new transponder for it. Pay someone £20 or so to code it for you.

Ebay for key, get it cut. Get a new transponder and find a friend with VAG TACHO to get it programmed. Other than that I'm not sure how much a dealer would charge

Yeah, sorry. Forgot the "get a new blade and get it cut" bit.

If you have a no flip second key,just take the transponder from that and put it in your new key.

im in rotherham. The nearest in my area to you is jp autotechnics based on Main street Aughton. Check out yell.com £40 theres also one in sheffield on city road autotronics they will match price tel no 01142648038 ask for steve ellis. hope that helps

A new one costs £160 from dealers. I got a used one off ebay for £26 and a glass transponder for £2. got it cut for £3 and programmed at dealers for £30.

If you fiddle with the original key just make sure you DONT break the glass transponder in it as there glued in. this little piece of glass deactivates the immobaliser.
