ebay front mount intercoolers any good??

What are people's opinions on these ebay fmics???? any good? as I dont want to be paying 700 quid for a forge one!

I got a toyo one off eBay. Not mega expensive. Think I paid £120 . Was a mare to fit and pipe clips were rubbish so you will prob need to upgrade on those . For a all round cheap inter cooler then you can't really moan. Would see stage 2 fine.

Iv used cheap eBay coolers on other cars in the past. There never a good fit, pipes need trimming as does the bumper. The clips were rubbish. But for value, lots cheaper and mine always held boost well

Loads of LCRs,S3s have these fitted running big power. I'm fitting one next week and the hole lot has cost around £200.

Thanks for the reply guys, I like the look of that toyo sport one, but what would I do about pipe work?

When a few inter coolers were tested on the 5 turbos the forge universal front mounts came out below par in comparison to some of the cheap eBay coolers. They heat soaked badly and didn't cool the charge sufficiently. I know a few 10 & 11 second cars running eBay jobbies so don't rule them out
