I think the main problem the LCR owners have is that there is very little other choices out there. The ones that are out there like the ap bells and rotors are £550 and about £400 every time you want to cahnge the rotors!

Im going to give these ago and see what there like. Im not expecting much as you get what you pay for but at least that way i can say yeap there crap or no there ok.

There expensive and i would like an up grade to cope with the extra power the car is running
do ebc know that they are making a disc to go under 4 pot calipers? i just wonder how a manufacturer dials in factors to meet expetations.
anyone could take a standard disc and groove it,do manufacturers take into consideration of track days /hard use/300+ bhp and torque.
not a dig at ebc or anyone, just a general question

IMO most of the upgraded power you can get comes from better replacement pads and replacing the brake fluid for higher boiling point fluid (not necc dot5.1). Newer performance pads don't have as much gas buildup as older performance pads so not as much need to drilled holes, slots.

wouldn't buy ebc discs or pads as I have had quite a few returned for warranty. Stopped selling them now. Black Diamond is much better but not doing lcr fitment yet.

if you want proper stoppoing power you need mov'it brakes as used by porsche. I think they make them for stoptech as well. Cost a fortune but everybody says they are worth it though.

Any word Scotty_b??

Really need some disks soon :(

And my only option is Mr Badger Bill and his disks. Would just like to have more choice really and see how much the EBC disks are to compare.

Fitment for LCR's is quite often listed by lazy manufacturers who 'assume' they will fit. Get yourself a set or ask BBT to confirm they will fit.

Problem is LCR sizes of disk aren't shared with many other makes / models therefore LCR's aren't a big market for companies to invest time and money in.....hence lack of choice for the customer

They may have been listed early as to reduce marketing costs as they were in final testing when i last spoke to them.

Ive phoned them and im waiting for a response now

I visited a customer this morning, who is involved with retail motorsport, they currently sell EBC, so i asked for a quote on LCR, prices as follows:

EBC Grooved and Dimpled Discs £ 184.00 pair
EBC Redstuff Pads £ 99.00

However if you want to go for the standard EBC discs and green pads the price would reduce to £ 158.00 for the lot.

Edit. Hmmm just searched around, not sure if EBC actually fit the LCR , even though i was there when he checked the product catalogue and it defintily said LCR 2002-3 onwards !!
