Hi guys,

The ECP light came on the other day, when tapping the brake pedal after starting the car it goes straight out but then comes back on further down the road.

So i'm guesing that the barke sensor must be dodgy but can someone tell me where it is?

cheers guys!

Dogy Bark sensors...

The road speed sensors are located at each wheel... they 'read' the speed of the wheel as the hub rotates. Check they're connected properly, no splits in the cable and consider cleaning them (brake cleaner). Might eventually replace one, check with Vag-Com to see which one is the problem.

Check with VagCom as it could still be a number of things.

It may also be to do with your barke light switches. You will have two switches that are located half way and at the top of your brake pedal. They more than likely just need to be repositioned correctly.

I had exactly the same, but found this out and now all is OK :)

Hi all, i have just got the same problem with the ECP Light and somtimes went off when the brake pedal was pressed, and now i have noticed that the brake lights are constantly on when the lights are, normal when the lights are off tho???
