I would not worry too much about it, +40bhp for £395 is a bargain. If it turns out to be more then its a bonus

I paid £575 for an extra 26 bhp.... still worth every penny

Iv given them an email, just go back to me today. They say an increase to 265-285 depending on the mods i have. Whats the most likely figure? I.e do you have a remap by them? Whats the figures like?

Thanks

Will have it on the rolling road on Saturday so will tell you the figures. The thing about Impossible Performance is they'll do anything to help you. Mike at Impossible Performance's Remaps have such a straight curve line and power all the way up to the redline.
I had mine yesterday, and the pull in 6th is immense.. He made it as smooth as possible, and then the power from the turbo in kicks in and spins the wheels to the redline in second gear with ESP on (Only at full throttle, otherthan this). It's so driveable I'm very impressed. This is my second car to be remapped by them, and half of my friends have there remaps by him. Cannot fault him at all!

Ah i will be waiting for a POST on satarday then. Think im going to go to them, iv tried superchip no reply yet, Custom code have replied but they are charging £530 for the same gains.

When did you have yours done then? They say they can't come to me yet unless more people around the area want one too thou, means i'l have to go to them.

It's best to go to them though. Have a look upstairs in there showroom, look at the other car's they've got modified there etc. It's a comfy environment to be in.
Whereabouts are you living?

Thanks, i might just book myself in and have the work all done at once. Would have to let the engine cool down so they can hear the exhaust better i think. Im in slough, so about 30-45 mins max.

It's very easy to get to. The trading estate he's on is signposted quite far back. You'll soon start to spend your life there..... As i do...LOL
Look at the modifications I've got. Only had the less than 3 weeks...

I want a remap, and i will also be putting in a hyperboost DV from miltek. Think Impossible said they'd install it for me if i had the DV already. I haven't planned anything else yet, might go for an exhaust upgrade, but not yet. Maybe later in the year.

In reply to Timberwolf,

Had my 03 LCR re-mapped by http://p-torque.co.uk (performance torque) this guy really knows his stuff. The car is super smooth off boost and goes like a scolded cat once the turbo kicks in. Irrespective of the huge performace gain it's a much nicer car to drive in any conditions.
It's a small operation but run by someone who actually appears to care about what he's doing. I believe he used to work for one of the bigger tuning companies.
I can personally recomend him especially given the price £250 for an extra 50-60BHP

remap

Hello,

Im looking to get my LCR 225 remmaped very soon. I have looked around so many places. I have found a company called Celtic Tuning. The say my car can be mapped to 278bhp and for only £375. They would come to my house or work and explain me through every process they are doing. Would take around 2-3 hours including fitting of a miltek DV unit too for another £95. sounds great value, and they always reply back super quick to emails.

Anyone heard of this company before or used them? Please post.

Also any1 who has a LCR 225 remapped? can i know what company you used, how much it cost and any problems with it so far? and the bhp/torque gains?

Thanks guys!

who did you eventually settle with, did you go with celtic tuning?

his user id is p-torque - good bloke.

seems to go the extra mile for you if needed. fairly small but personal company.

new premises in wolverhampton - good set up - new rolling road too.

price on LCR remap £315 including a power run. £295 i think alone.

Are you feeling a group buy?? lol.....may ask if he fancies a Rolling Road day...

I got p-torqued, he didn't have a rolling road back then though, and I'm really curious (following my recent run in as mentioned in the other thread with an RX8 and Focus ST) as to what my car is actually putting out...
