Hey people please help me.

I have a problem with the EGR works when wants to. The EGR is brand new even new pipe to EGR from the throttle body.

When I installed the egr come up map problem it rev bouncing in idle. I disconnected the EGR and it settled the problem just at idle revs at 1000rpm.

I kept trying the EGR and now and then works fine for a sort time then starts rev bouncing at idle. Even when it rev bounces it don't start doing that until I move it in first or second gear.

That can the problem be

Oh the Map is new as first thought that was the problem.

My cars a 1.6 seat leon mk1

I would check the wires to the plug on egr had the same thing with a caddy had two new egr and would work for a few days then it would not work then work turn out to be a wire had rubbed through and causing the issue wires cut and replaced and had no more problems worth a look

I tried to get it to play up today but its been OK ish. It rev bounces for a second or 2 but then resettles itself. It was surging at intermittent times. I removed the rubber seal inside the connection and the clip clips on more than it used to be. I cable tied it to hold it tight up to the egr valve. The car works when first started. Then the code reader said i had map problem (p0106) I deleted the codes and turned engine off then back on again after a minute and works fine. With all codes gone

When I started the car later today was fine then map problem just deleted it turned car off then worked fine.

Am just lost tbf I know its not the map but something with with egr as when I disconnect the egr it works. I think might need to look at the wires tbf

Do you think temp sensor can make it play up if that's faulty.
