EGR valve location?

Now I have had this coming up on vag-com since I bought the car but haven't done anything about it yet, but I got a new EGR valve from the garage I bought the car from, so I was going to replace it but don't know where it is? To be honest haven't really had a good look, because I don't have access to a ramp often, so knowing where to look would be nice.

But now I have been reading that some people blank it off. Would this be a better idea than replacing it? Would it still come up on vag-com if I blank it off?

If you read the SAI Removal guide in the FAQ section it explains all. Removing the SAI will allow you to blank off the EGR valve but you will probably get a fault code in VAG COM for incorrect air flow and the occasional engine light.

It can be found on the right hand side of the block towards the back, kind of underneath the N75 and to the left of the TIP
