Electric windows keep opening help please

Hello

I have a 2004 cupra tdi

When the car is locked the windows keep opening
Does not happen all the time, some times it can go for a few months with no probs but other times they will open 3 times in a couple of hours

Also when driving the cars central locking un locks then locks again

Anyone have an idea what the problem could be ?

Maybe your key button is sticking and randomly transmitting lock/unlock/window-down commands? Battery?

yeah dodgy drivers doors electrics or something wrong with the lock in the door, had this problem on my first leon...nightmare! hope you get it sorted defo not a good thing leaving your house in the morning to see your windows are down on your car!

I had something sort of similar recently where my alarm would arm itself while I was driving and then start sounding immediately. I just yanked the battery terminal off when I got to work one day and left it sat in the car park for 8 hours or so discharging completely, it's been perfect since. I'd start with that (it's free), followed by a new battery in the key (which is dirt cheap), and take it from there, it could be something really minor

Sorry to jump on-board here but my key fobs finally given up the ghost! Had to use it in the door like a sucker today! Cheap you say - does it not loose its memory or anything?

Dont spose you or cough, Lee, knows which battery it is before I endeavour to take it all apart!

PS - hope you get your windows and alarm fixed ok buddy
