Electric windows

Guys,

Had a good search over the last few days, but not really been able to find anything relatiing to my issue....

My windows are both not working, get absolutely no movement at all, no noise, no click and won't work the one in a hundred times that some People have experienced...

Also the windows don't go up or down using the key in the lock....

Any ideas? Or best method of eliminating faults?

Ie start with switches etc....just don't want to spend on switches, then regs then motors etc if it could be a relay or fuse...

Cheers in advance

What does it mean when you press the electric window switch and nothing happens but you can hear a clicking type noise coming from the door?

Forgot to mention, The window still works, Just hear a clicking noise when pressing the button, The window will work occasionally and will work when you lock the car with the key in the door.

Guys,

had a look at fuses today but not been able to understand the link above to the fuse layouts and my fuse box....how the 2 relate...

can someone help by looking at this pic and pointing out to me which fuse or relay is for the windows? might be being daft :)

I'll pop out in a while and check on my car but I have a feeling the windows are totally seperate from the main fuse box.:)

I've just had my dash out and there's no other fuses up there, here's the thread with pics,

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=310183&page=2

the only other thing I can think of is the ccm which is behind the clocks and does the central locking etc. The main fuse box inside only goes up to 32 and there's some on top of the battery but that's it so yeh that link is a bit confusing, can you not figure out where the clicking's coming from?:)

Bollox I was thinking it was you who had the clicking but it was someone else in this thread lol:D Well if there's no clicking or anything else I would suspect the switch or the wiring where it goes through to the door, if the drivers side doesn't work or is disconnected then the passenger side doesn't work either, check the switch and wiring first in the drivers side.:)

Anyone have any joy with the window? I have the same problem as posted above. Window clicking but not working......Checked the fuse which is fine.
Any chance someone could post a pic of their fuse box layout (the one behind the panel on the drivers side of the dash) I seem to have put a fuse back wrong when checking and now I have a permanent yellow engine light on the dash......Not to serious I hope. Got me to work this morning anyway.

Hi all,

I have a fault with rear passenger electric window it will go up and down off it’s own switch but not from the drivers switch. I’ve opened the switch up and circuit board looks also the cables that come in between drivers door and pillar seem in good condition. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?
